What’s in Store for your Team
Vets tournaments are all about socializing, but a good game of rugby goes a long way too. The set-up here in Malta lends itself to a great weekend of games, events and the chance to test your skills and stamina both on and off the pitch, especially when it comes to the late – night drinking games promoted throughout the weekend. 2012 will be the 4th year that we have been running this particular event and we look forward to an even bigger turnout this time, with teams from all over Europe taking part. ( In the 2011 tournament, teams from Sweden, Switzerland, Wales, England, Israel, Italy and France participated).
All teams normally arrive on Thursday, or Friday morning at the latest. On Friday afternoon it will be time to get started, when we will meet up for a managers meeting to set the weekend off. Straight after that there will be a welcome party, where all teams will be provided with a (limited) number of free drinks to be consumed at the official tournament bar. On Saturday we will play the rugby matches, and beer & food will obviously be made available at the playing venue. After the games there will be a presentation and 3rd half at the rugby clubhouse, and in the evening there will be a fancy dress party with lots of drinking and partying until the early hours of the morning. On Sunday it’s a free day or activity day finishing off with an end-of-tournament dinner.
